This is a wildlife bridge in the Netherlands. Wildlife bridges are designed to help animals cross busy highways in safety. They don’t just protect wildlife from being hit by cars - they also connect fragmented habitats and help populations intermingle and breed.
The Netherlands is leading the way in designing these bridges. The country is home to more than 600 similar crossings.
Sam and Steve calling each other “Samuel” and “Steven” to be shits to each other but then Bucky comes by and Sam spends the better part of an hour trying to figure out what the hell “Bucky” is supposed to be a shortening of and every time Bucky’s about to crack and tell him his name’s actually James Steve shakes his head and waves his hands from behind Sam’s back because he’s actually an asshole
how about an au where marius sees cosette in the park one day and he’s totally in love. and so he’s almost worked up the nerve to talk to her, but when he moves a little closer he hears her speaking in korean. and he’s totally crestfallen because how is he supposed to talk to her if they speak different languages. when she leaves, he thinks he’s missed his chance entirely. except she’s back the next day. and the next. and that’s when marius decides he’s going to learn korean so he can speak to her. it takes weeks but he masters some of the basics enough that he feels confident in his ability to have a conversation with her and finally marius approaches her. at which point he learns cosette also speaks french completely fluently.
The fandom needs to stop leafing him out of their jokes. (I’m sorry.)
I don’t think he’d be a fan of them anyway.
